I stayed at Cocobay for 4 days and have had by far the best experience at any resort I've stayed at. We had to take a boat to the resort which definitely adds to the experience of a 'getaway', and the resort is fairly secluded and facing the water, leading to unparalleled serenity. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful, warm and always at our disposal, truly committed to making our stay exceptional in any way. Raymond and Surya who manage the property offered us a warm welcome and ensured all our needs were catered to. Anandu, Wajid and Dinesh took care of all our dining needs and were extremely warm, considerate and thoughtful - I have to say that it truly felt like we were the only guests at the resort looking at the attention to detail and the level of care! The food was incredibly delicious, arguably some of the best food I've had in Kerala, and the level of service just knocked it out of the park! The property itself is incredibly beautiful and is meant to encourage people to unwind and relax. There are several amenities like the ability to book a houseboat or shikara that picks you up right from the rest, a variety of ayurvedic massages, and of course the pool right below the palm trees, facing the water. The property is smaller than some of the other resorts in Kumarakom, but that is part of the charm since there are fewer people and it truly allows you to disconnect, along with the service being highly personalized. If you're looking to unwind, looking for some peace and quiet, connect with nature and be spoiled with the level of service - I highly recommend Cocobay. I will definitely come again, and cannot say enough good things about this place!

The breakfast was good, - fresh cut fruits & juices, toast & eggs, sausages, hash brown, etc. The various traditional Kerala dishes we had for lunch and dinner were very good too. The service staff did a good job, particularly Musa. The property is very well maintained, both inside and out. The traditional tiled roofs look great in the verdant settings. There's a spa and an outdoor swimming pool too for those interested. The property faces the great Vembanad Lake, so a great view is guaranteed at all times, and particularly at sunset. Cormorants, egrets and herons are seen by the lakeside. The access to the property from the car park is by a short boat ride on a village canal which adds to the atmospherics. We enjoyed walking through the neighbouring village and interacting with the friendly villagers.

An amazing location right on the lake with a brilliant view from the swimming pool. Great food in the onsite restaurant. Room sizes were good with all amenities, fridge, kettle etc. We'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location, lovely staff, nice pool. It was very peaceful while we were there but popular with families at the weekend so I think will more lively.

Cocobay Resort Cochin India October 2023 First impression was very confusing. Taxi dropped us off in a remote car park and we wondered what was going on. Rest assured you will be met by a member of staff who will guide you to the entrance via a lovely boat journey. Middle photo. The boatman will take you on a short journey on a Gondola style wooden boat to the Cocobay landing area. The resort is in the Backwater Area of Cochin. This is an expanse of waterways along the coast where you can book boat trips. These range from large covered boats to smaller ones for fewer people. They can organise a boat trip for you about at good value for money. We chose the latter and went as a couple. We were enchanted by the tranquillity, watching the locals living by the edge of the canals’. The resort is planned in a U shape with chalets on two sides and restaurant and reception at the end. The last chalets have full sea views. It is a very relaxing resort with a Yoga area . The chalets where a good size with a bath/shower and everything you needed. Nice swimming pool. The food was very good with a good menu. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They cannot sell you alcohol but there is a local hotel ,near the ATM ,5 min walk away, where you can buy to take back to your room. Very good and relaxing stay. Calm and tranquil environment with beautifully tended gardens set around a large well maintained pool with uninterrupted views over the lake . Rooms traditional and have stood the rest of time well. Very attentive staff, though some younger members of the dining team perhaps less prepared and trained for international guests so communication in English was patchy but the manager resolved any minor issues very effectively. Food choice fairly limited but very good value .We enjoyed a massage in the treatment rooms by a visiting practioner. There is an air conditioned games room which offered some welcome respite from the heat.

The location, food and overall ambience, the only thing and the most lacking thing was there was no mosquito mesh on either the door or the windows, by having them u can fresh air circulating in the room during daytime making u feel great, otherwise the room has to be closed all the time, moreover they have a wonderful garden, but they should have citronella plants to prevent mosquitos.
